Assist Group provides Commercial Vehicle Driver medical assessments:

In combination with pre-employment medical assessments (we bundle these two assessments to save you time and money)

AND/OR

On a recurring basis as required under the Assessing Fitness to Drive standards (every three years for drivers under the age of 50, and annually for those over 50 years of age).

Assist Group is accredited to complete Commercial Vehicle Driver medicals in alignment with the National Heavy Drivers Accreditation Scheme (2008) and Assessing Fitness to Drive (2012) under the TruckSafe scheme. We currently assist many logistics and trucking companies across Australia with the health management of their fleets, keeping them safe on the roads.

The commerical vehicle driver medicals assessments focuses on health issues that may affect a driver's ability to drive safely such as:

Sleep disorders

Substance abuse (questionnaire only)

Epilepsy

Diabetes

Vision Problems

Neurological disorders

Age-related disorders

Heart disease

Whilst this medical assessment does not include urine or saliva instant drug screening to further investigate substance abuse, Assist Group does have the ability support your own internal drug and alcohol management program under the current Australian Standards.
